As processor speeds continue to increase faster than the speed at which main memory can be accessed, efficient use of processor caches is becoming ever more important. A number of processors now include performance monitoring features that can provide detailed information about cache behavior. This demo will show Cache Scope, a measurement tool, that runs on the Intel Itanium 2 processor and uses its performance monitoring features to collect information about the cache behavior of the data structures in an application at the source code level.    CLOSE
